About Betty Jo

Betty Jo has been acting in the mirror since she was 2-years-old. At an early age, she would come home to tell stories about her happenings at day care even before she was able to form full sentences, and when she started elementary school, she'd act out the day with impersonations of her teachers to the amusement of her family.

To help hone her natural artistic abilities, she attended theater camp at Zach Scott Theater and Kids Casting summer camp. She took to it enthusiastically and had fun in the process. Not long after, she was cast in supporting roles in student films and a feature length horror movie as the younger version of one of the lead actors.

In 2021, she landed her first lead role in a UT student thesis film, JULIE BABY, where she evolved as an actor by learning to work closely with her director, with experienced supporting actors, and a stunt coordinator.

Betty loves acting in drama films, and is eager to be cast in a comedic role. Betty is represented by Acclaim Talent and looking for future opportunities to bring a script to life.

JULIE BABY is a raw, naturalist short film about a young girl as she becomes aware of what it means to be a woman. When she is called a whore for the first time on her 7th birthday, she gets a glimpse of womanhood and discovers her ability to define herself and defend others.
